Car companies have long been using automotive psychology to protect us from running out of fuel on the road. I have been bothered by not being able to trust my car company to tell me how much gas is actually left in the tank when the empty light goes on. This causes unnecessary worry and possibly causes more people to run out of gas because they count on going below E.

This webpage is my dream for a reference guide to cars and trucks telling exactly how much gas is left at when the empty light goes on and at the half mark (in gallons).

Please email me your stats on your car and I will gladly input into the charts for public knowledge.

How do I contribute?

As soon as your fuel gauge is at the half mark or the empty light illuminates, FILL UP at the nearest gas station. Don't shop around for the 2 cents cheaper station.
Mark down how much gas you put in the car.
Look in your manual or search online your fuel tank capacity.
Now subtract the fuel amount from the station from the capacity.
This is the info we need!

Or you can just email me your car's year, make and model and the gas amount at half or empty and I will figure it out for you.

Lets make it happen
